Privacy Policy for
accsys

We do not collect, receive or share any personal information. The app has no accounts, no sign-up and no login, and it has no servers of its own. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

The accounts, entries and opening balances you record, the business name and address you enter in Settings, and your display preferences (language, wording, number format, theme) are stored in a database on your phone. You can remove all of it at any time with Settings › Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app.

The app asks for no permissions on your phone and does not have permission to use the internet. Your books are not sent anywhere by the app.

accsys uses Android’s own backup service. If “Back up to Google” is on in Settings › Backup & restore (it is on when you install the app) and backup is turned on in your phone’s settings, Android saves a copy of the accounting database to your own Google account, about once a day. Android restores it when you reinstall the app or set up a new phone with the same Google account. Only the accounting database is included. These backups are stored by Google and encrypted by Android; Data Spec cannot see or access them. The backup is handled under Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

If you turn “Back up to Google” off, the app stops sending your data to the backup and the copy held in your Google account is replaced with an empty one at the next backup. You can also manage or delete backups in your phone’s Google backup settings.

When you save a backup file or share a statement or report (for example as a PDF, Excel file or WhatsApp message), the app hands the file to the place or app you choose, such as a folder, Google Drive, WhatsApp or email. From there it is handled by that app or service under its own policy. Nothing is shared unless you do it.

After you have used the app for a while, it may show Google Play’s standard in-app rating prompt. The rating and any review are sent to Google Play only if you choose to submit them, and are handled by Google.

The app is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
